It took the words right out of my mouth. <br/><br/>The Meganulons and Meganura, were trying to <br/><br/>Japan&#39;s answer to the creatures from two <br/><br/>1997 bug films MIMIC and STARSHIP TROOPERS. <br/><br/>The film was shot on a big budget. The <br/><br/>special effects, traditional: big fake <br/><br/>props, poor CGI, animatronics, miniatures, <br/><br/>and men in rubber suits, plus good sound <br/><br/>effects. I found a goof in the film, when <br/><br/>Megaguirus (the &quot;I&quot; is silent, but I would <br/><br/>pronounce itMeg-a-guy-rus) was flying, <br/><br/>the strings were shown. Megaguirus was some <br/><br/>sort of combination between Mothra, <br/><br/>Destroyah, and Battra. It had Rodan-like <br/><br/>powers. A lot of scenes will remind fans of <br/><br/>RODAN. The Meganulons from RODAN are <br/><br/>recreated for the 21st century. It was <br/><br/>predictable the Godzilla will whoop his <br/><br/>butt. The combat with G and Megaguirus was <br/><br/>awesome. I didn&#39;t see the scene before the <br/><br/>credits ended, where they show the kid and <br/><br/>the bug collection, because the Sci-Fi <br/><br/>Channel ruined it with the commercials. But <br/><br/>you can see that scene on the DVD. This <br/><br/>film is followed by GODZILLA X <br/><br/>MECHAGODZILLA (2002). If I&#39;d give GXM an <br/><br/>MPPA rating I&#39;d give it a PG for violence, <br/><br/>language, and a few scary stuff plus <br/><br/>thematic elements. Dear Godzilla,<br/><br/>Please consider informing Toho Productions that you are not going to put up with recycled plots any more. The old Japan vs Godzilla vs another monster thing is getting old, even if the other monster is a kind of interesting looking half-cousin to that poseur Mothra, and the Japanese have developed a black hole producing weapon which is aimed directly at earth! Really, who would even consider developing a weapon of such potential, much less deploying it for the sole purpose of getting rid of you? Certainly not Japan, though I can think of one western power under a certain leadership which might. Speaking of black holes and infinite voids,wellfolding space-time, how many times are you going to allow them to kill you on screen? And finally, why do you continue to accept scripts which make you appear to be a &#39;bad guy&#39;, when you know it&#39;s not your best role? Ahh well, I guess I can&#39;t have it all. I am at least glad that you&#39;ve fired that makeup artist you had in G2K and insisted on better special effects. Congratulations on making Godzilla vs Megaguirus. While it didn&#39;t have the intellectual sophistication of Hedora, and it lacked the artistry of the brilliant Gojira, Mosura, Kingu Gidorâ: Daikaijû sôkôgeki, it was an entertaining romp through Tokyo.<br/><br/>I know I don&#39;t need to remind you, but please do consider my previous offer again.
